Galvanised Def Fully Built Up Complete LH Front Door – Steel Skin

• This door is ready to bolt on – held on the bulkhead with 4x bolts – this is all you need to swap your door!
• Door comes with door hinges / wing mirror fitted & door card separate so door can be painted prior to fitment for a great finish.
• This is a fully built-up brand new LH front door with hot dip galvanised frame with zintec steel skin for Defender models 1983-2005.
• These save hours in labour time and are the best doors on the market, it has great longevity & you know its provenance as it is a brand new item.
• The doors are unique to us, we are the only company selling fully built-up doors that are ready to bolt onto your Defender.
• Every nut, bolts and screw used to attach the parts to the door are stainless steel.
• They come with the option of the small diamater lock push button door handle (for Defender 1983-2002) and also the option of the large diameter lock push button door handle. (For Defender 1983-2002). Or with the option of a blanked off push button door handle (normally found on central locking models).
• If you do not know which you have just measure the lock diamater. The smaller type is 16mm in diamater, the larger lock 20mm.
• If you select the Britbillet 20mm Aluminium push button handle, we provide a spare blank cover so you can decide if you want a lock hole in the handle or not. These simply pop in or out so gives you flexibility.

Important note, you must not sand off any of the zinc coating on the skin before painting as this will remove the zinc coating and remove it corrosion resistance.
The zinc coating on the skin is perfectly smooth as it is applied electronically. Whoever paints the panel must be given the instructions to simply go over the skin and frame with Mordant solution / T wash which etches the zinc finish black and means the paint will properly adhere. You should then go over with an etch primer, then a high build primer and then finally your colour coats. Do not sand the skin at all before any paint is applied.
